WHAT IS THE UPTECH REPORT?

The UpTech Report is a channel committed to diving deep into upcoming technologies that will disrupt how we live, work, and play. We’re also thrilled to share real stories told directly by C-Suite executives about how their companies are leveraging Software as a Service (SaaS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and other emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in today’s rapidly-changing world.

Audience

The audience for UpTech Report is entrepreneurs wanting to learn how to create a successful technology business, CxO’s looking to apply new technologies to improve their business, and general technology enthusiasts who believe technology can improve everyone’s lives.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We’re looking for original unpublished articles that would be of interest to our audience. We like articles that highlight how specific new technologies are disrupting industries. We prefer this disruption portrayed in a positive light (how technology is improving lives), so any articles attempting to highlight the “dark side” of technology probably won’t be considered.

Two perspectives of content you can write about: business-focused or technical-focused. We are looking for stories that share the economic and sociological impacts of disruptive technologies. The other perspective would be sharing a high level understanding of the 

underlying technological innovations and how it will impact our lives in real world examples. Keep in mind, we’re looking for a more Opinion-Editorial style, not a research paper.

We want polished articles that balance research with readability. We appreciate tone that is more op-ed in nature, but would prefer to see stats or figures to justify specific claims made about technology or industries. We also appreciate anecdotes and examples where appropriate–our articles aren’t research papers, so readability is important to us.

You’re welcome to write about and mention your professional experience and/or your company, but stay away from too much self-promotion. Otherwise, your article may not be considered for publication on our platform.

UpTech prefers submissions from writers who are leaders, experts, or at least knowledgeable in their respective fields. We want our articles to have some authority behind them, so your experience will be taken into consideration as we review your submission.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Submitted articles should be between 600-900 words. Please send via email with a word document attached or via a link to a Google Doc. Again, we’re only looking for original, unpublished articles. 

The review process will generally take about 2-3 weeks. If we like your article and would like to publish it, we will contact you via email. If you don’t hear from us after 2-3 weeks from the date of your submission, this means your article was not a good fit for our platform and will not be published.

We prefer all submissions to be polished and checked for spelling and grammar by the original author. If your submission requires too much editing on our part regarding these things, it may not be considered for publishing. We may edit and adjust headings, sub-headings, titles, and other pieces as we deem necessary.

Any necessary graphics, visuals, or videos will be created by UpTech, though you’re welcome to include recommendations. You’re welcome to include links to your own website. We may add links to your article, if appropriate.

AFTER PUBLISHING

If your article is published, UpTech may share across our social channels and other outlets. By submitting your article for review you’re agreeing to this.

We request that your article remain exclusive to UpTech for 5 business days, after which time it may be reprinted in part or in full on other sites, with a link back to the original article on UpTech.
